Billy and Me & Why Rememeber?

Grade 1 - 2

Billy Bishop, WWI Flying Ace, grew up here in this town, went to school like you.  He had a family, friends and fears like you.  Billy used his gifts/talents and his passions for flight, along with many other men and women to fight for a cause they believed in….freedom and democracy. 

Students will use family trees and simple timelines to compare their lives with Billy Bishop’s. 

We will also discuss the purpose of Remembrance Day.
