The Life of an

Ordinary Boy

This new exhibit portrays Billy’s childhood through stories and photographs.  Discover interesting facts on growing up in the Victorian and Edwardian eras.  See the display of various toys that Billy and his siblings may have played with.  A selection of these toys are in our Education Centre to actually try.  If you have fun with them here, we also have them for sale in our gift shop.

The exhibit also includes a photo collage as a tribute to the many men and women from Owen Sound and area who, like Billy, were just ordinary children who ended up doing extraordinary things for our country.

Step back in time and learn about the childhood of Owen Sound’s hometown Hero, Billy Bishop.
